"The mission of the JLTGG program is to educate the public about geology and its association with long-term land conservation by presenting several activities each year featuring well-qualified speakers. Some activities may include an optional field trip. The JLTGG may also initiate non-lecture activities, such as, a geology study group for ongoing education of the study group's participants."

The Jefferson Land Trust Geology Group is a volunteer association of local folks interested in geology.

We provide several programs each year to foster our community's general understanding of geology and the specific geology of our local terrain.  Our programs are open to the public and are free, though we certainly appreciate donations at the door to help us cover our program costs.

The Geology Group does not have members; however, if you provide your email address on the sign-up sheet at the next program, you will receive notification about our upcoming programs and, occasionally, geologic news of special significance.
